Minnesota Vikings WR Jordan Addison just got a major update on his January arrest.
ESPN’s Kevin Seifert tweeted out early Tuesday afternoon regarding the update.
“A misdemeanor trespassing charge against Vikings WR Jordan Addison has been dismissed by Florida state attorney Susan Lopez, according to Hillsborough County court records. The prosecution has been terminated and Addisons’ $500 bond has been ordered to be returned.”
This is a major development, basically meaning that Addison’s hands are clean of his latest run-in with the law.
A Notice of Termination of Prosecution has been released for the incident involving Mr. Addison. You can view that here.

There has been further reporting on Addison’s case. This one comes from Mike Garafolo.
“Charges will not be filed against #Vikings WR Jordan Addison, according to his agent @YoungerAssoc. Addison was assisted by attorney Brian Pakett. Younger tells me Addison now will prepare for the filing of a civil claim arising from the alleged wrongful arrest.”
Also from Alec Lewis:
“Charges against Vikings WR Jordan Addison stemming from last week’s arrest will not be filed, according to Hillsborough County court records. The state attorney filed a termination of prosecution this afternoon.”
This is better news than bad for Jordan Addison and his camp. They are going into year 4 with the Vikings, meaning they are right about at the time that most teams make a decision on a fifth-year option for players that they drafted.

Joe Nelson of the Sports Illustrated Vikings team shared some of the details days after Addison’s arrest.
“Per the police report, Mr. Addison was asked by the restaurant’s staff multiple times to leave the premises. The staff, of course, has the complete legal right to ask a guest to leave. Addison allegedly refused to leave, leading to his arrest with “probable cause” by the Seminole Indian Police Department.
The police report also claims that Addison had to be redirected to the front exit repeatedly while being escorted out by officers.
Nelson continued:
“The former USC Trojan was booked into Hillsborough Country Jail at 7;33am. He was later released at about 2:40pm after posting a $500 bail. The official charge has been listed as a first-degree misdemeanor trespassing in an occupied structure or conveyance.”
Jordan Addison has been a solid receiver for the Vikings, but he’s come with his off-the-field issues.
Our own Trevor Squire summarized them nicely:
“Addison, 23, was suspended by the NFL for the first three games of the 2025 season after he was arrested on suspicion of DUI in Los Angeles in July 2024. He later pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.
Addison was also pulled over for driving 140 mph in Minnesota during the summer of his rookie year. He pleaded guilty to a single count of speeding in Ramsey County Court as part of a plea deal that dismissed a charge of reckless driving.”
Congratulations to Mr. Addison for the dismissal, but it is still incredibly likely that the Vikings will keep an eye on the situation.
