Former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll has officially landed his next gig, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reports.

He’s teaming up with new Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh and joining his staff as the offensive coordinator.

Daboll is still in the running for the Las Vegas Raiders head coaching job and would leave the Titans if the Raiders decide to hire him.

But in the meantime, the former Coach of the Year winner is expected to be calling plays and helping develop former No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward in Tennessee, and hopefully rebuild his image as one of the best offensive minds in the NFL.

Brian Daboll’s Draw to Tennessee

The former New York Giants head coach will be teaming up with another former New York football coach in Saleh, as they both try to prove themselves away from the Big Apple.

Daboll made his way up the NFL coaching ranks thanks to his specialty in working with and developing young quarterbacks, something he’ll be expected to do with the Tennessee Titans and Ward.

The former Miami product had a rocky first year in the league at best, completing 59.8% of his passes for 3,169 yards, 15 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

But in all fairness to Ward, his head coach was fired early on in the season, and his supporting cast left a lot to be desired.

Despite the shortcomings, Ward still displayed the traits that made him the No. 1 overall pick in 2025, such as his incredible arm talent and ability to make something out of nothing when a play breaks down.

Daboll is probably salivating at the thought of molding the youngster into a premier NFL passer.

His work with quarterbacks can’t be ignored, such as helping turn Josh Allen, one of the most raw prospects coming out of the draft, into a perennial MVP candidate.

Even his work with Jaxson Dart, while short-lived, was impressive. Before Daboll was fired, Dart was the favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year despite only being inserted into the starting lineup in Week 4.

Saleh is obviously hoping Daboll can do the same for Ward and help turn the Titans around.

Where Else Was Brian Daboll Under Consideration?

The Tennessee Titans weren’t the only team interested in hiring the former New York Giants head coach this offseason.

The Philadelphia Eagles were also interested in bringing Daboll aboard, but it seems he prefers to work with Saleh and Ward as opposed to Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts.

The Las Vegas Raiders have still not decided on who their next head coach will be, and Daboll recently completed a second in-person interview with their braintrust.

Obviously, if Las Vegas wants Daboll as their next head coach, he’ll take that job over the Titans.

But fortunately for Giants fans, it’s becoming increasingly likely that they’ll avoid seeing Daboll in the NFC at least for 2026, as the two jobs he’s likely to land will keep him out of the conference.

We’ll see where the Raiders land on deciding who they want to coach the future No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
