In a new photo report purportedly released by the Islamic State, ISIS militants in the recently recaptured city of Palmyra, Syria, desecrate the corpses of the defeated Syrian Arab Army by crudely cremating them. Cremation is considered "haram," or illegal under Islamic law, because it is viewed as disrespectful of the dead. The photo report was released on ISIS terrorist channels on December 12. A summary released with the report reads: "The Course of Battles Against the Nusayri Army on the Surroundings of Jahar Gas Field." Viewer discretion is advised.
