A 10-year-old boy in Ohio led police and state troopers on a dangerous high-speed chase that started in Cleveland.

For the second time in 10 days, a 10-year-old boy in Ohio led police on a high-speed chase on the interstate after taken a car out for a joyride.

Police say the case started October 26 when they saw a car speed past another vehicle on Interstate 90, just west of Cleveland. Somebody had called 911 and reported that the car the boy was driving was swerving around traffic and almost got into several accidents, police said.

Officers pursued the 2004 Toyota Avalon on I-90, trying to stop the car within a 15-mile stretch. According to Police Capt. Guy Turner, the boy drove through a toll booth and suddenly merged onto the westbound lanes of the Ohio Turnpike.

As the vehicle the boy was driving reached speeds around 100 mph, at least four other state troopers joined in the chase and tried to roadblock him, Highway Patrol Sergeant Tim Hoffman told The Chicago Tribune. Officers threw spike strips onto the road, which the boy tried to avoid by swerving into a grassy area on the side of the road. As he tried to do so, an officer hit the car at a relatively slow speed with his vehicle while another blocked it from getting back onto the road.

The crazy car chase was captured on police dashcam video, which has gone viral. In it, troopers are seen racing down I-90 as they approach the spike strips. The boy can be seen driving on the side of the road on the crass as officers tried to prevent him from re-entering. Suddenly, the boy is hit by a trooper’s car and it crashes into a road sign. With the car stalled, officers race to the door to remove the boy, breaking the window to enter.

Watch the police chase in the video below:

Officers took the boy to a hospital, officials said, and he was evaluated for any injuries. They told The Tribune that the Erie County Prosecutor’s Office will decide whether or not criminal charges would be necessary, especially because this is the boy’s second time doing this recently.

A police report obtained by The Tribune shows that the boy stole his mother’s car October 16. Officers received a call notifying them of the theft, and found the 2013 Dodge Charger on I-90 in Cleveland with three flat tires. After that incident, he was taken into police custody at the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Justice Center and was eventually released.
