Caglianone went 3-for-3 with a triple and a walk in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Tigers. Caglianone snapped out of a recent slump with his best game in weeks, reaching base in all four plate appearances. The outfielder ripped a 113.5 mph triple to lead off the third inning for Kansas City's first baserunner of the day, before drawing a walk in the fifth and being stranded at third. He added singles in both the seventh and ninth to keep the tying run aboard late. Entering Wednesday, the former sixth-overall pick had gone just 3-for-27 (.111) with a 2:12 BB:K over his previous eight games but with the breakout performance, Caglianone is now batting a very respectable .275 with a .754 OPS on the season

Jeffrey Caglianone: Breaking News
Exiting starting nine Wednesday
Caglianone is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians. The left-handed-hitting Caglianone was included in the lineup the last time the Royals faced a lefty starter (Milwaukee's Kyle Harrison) on Sunday, but the 23-year-old will head to the bench for the series finale in Cleveland while southpaw Joey Cantillo takes the hill for Cleveland. Caglianone will give up his usual spot in right field to Starling Marte, who will bat eighth.
Scores three times in big win
Caglianone went 3-for-4 with a double and three runs scored in Wednesday's 13-9 win over the Twins. Caglianone has logged multiple hits in two of five games so far. The outfielder has added two doubles, one walk and four strikeouts over 15 plate appearances so far. The 23-year-old struggled to a .157/.237/.295 slash line with seven home runs, 18 RBI, 19 runs scored and a stolen base over 62 contests in 2025 in his first taste of major-league action. He has some work to do to prove he's taken a step up from last year, but aside from the strikeout problem, he's on the right track for improvement. Caglianone is filling a strong-side platoon role in right field.
