Dogs surpassed humans in the better-companion category a long time ago. But now, dogs can contribute more to your road trip than just being an awesome friend.

In New Zealand, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), with the support of Mini Cooper, has been training dogs to drive to show people just how smart and amazing dogs are, hoping to boost adoption of abandoned dogs.

These pups will go live on Monday at 7 p.m.. Tune in here to see if the can perform under pressure.
