Durant (calf) is expected to miss Team USA's exhibition game versus Australia on Monday, CBSSports.com reports. Durant was absent from training camp due to his calf injury, and he also missed the USA's exhibition game against Canada on Wednesday. The USA is set to play in two more exhibition games July 15 against Australia and July 17 against Serbia, which the All-Star is likely to sit out of. The 35-year-old is coming off his healthiest season in the past four years, during which he averaged 27.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.2 blocks in 75 regular-season games. Team USA will hope to have Durant back playing alongside Stephen Curry, LeBron James and Joel Embiid, among others, for the start of the Paris Olympics on July 28 against Serbia.

Latest Suns News
Kevin Durant : Likely to miss exhibition Monday
Josh Okogie : Re-signs with Suns
Okogie signed a two-year, $16 million deal with the Suns on Thursday, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reports. The second year of the deal is not guaranteed, so the Suns will wait and see what happens this upcoming season before committing to the rest of the deal. Okogie had a reduced role for Phoenix during the 2023-24 campaign, averaging 4.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 16.0 minutes across 60 regular-season appearances. He struggled to see minutes in 2023-24 but will aim to carve out a bench role now that Mike Budenholzer will be the head coach.
Kevin Durant : Expected to play in Paris Olympics
Durant (calf) is expected to play in Team USA's first game of the Paris Olympics against Serbia on July 28 but may not be available for any exhibitions, Marc J. Spears of ESPN.com reports. Durant has yet to participate in training camp with Team USA due to a minor calf strain he suffered 10 days before the group got together in Las Vegas. The NBA superstar has already been ruled out for Wednesday's exhibition versus Canada, the first matchup between the teams since Canada beat Team USA in the 2023 FIBA World Cup's bronze medal game. The Americans sported a youthful squad for that tournament and are looking for revenge at the Olympics with a star-studded cast, including Durant, Stephen Curry, LeBron James and Joel Embiid. Following Wednesday's matchup, Team USA travels to Abu Dhabi for two exhibitions versus Australia on July 15 and Serbia on July 17.
Kevin Durant : Will miss exhibition versus Canada
Durant (calf) is set to miss the USA's exhibition game against Canada on Wednesday, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports. Durant has sat out four straight practices due to a calf strain he suffered 10 days before the team's training camp. However, coach Steve Kerr said Tuesday that Durant has been working hard and is expected to be available soon, Kellan Olson of ArizonaSports.com reports. The All-Star could be back July 15 when the USA takes on Australia for an exhibition game in Abu Dhabi.
Kevin Durant : Dealing with minor calf injury
Durant is dealing with a minor calf strain and has yet to participate in Team USA's training camp, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported Sunday. The U.S. Olympic team began practicing Saturday with Durant watching from the sidelines as he tends to a minor calf strain. The 35-year-old's absence is considered precautionary, but the issue is still worth monitoring with the Olympic Games just a few weeks away.
Damion Lee : Staying in Phoenix
Lee (knee) and the Suns agreed to a one-year deal Wednesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. After missing the entire 2023-24 campaign while recovering from meniscus surgery, Lee will get another chance to prove his worth with the Suns. Back in 2022-23, Lee was a key rotation player for the Suns, averaging 8.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.5 three-pointers and 1.4 assists in 20.4 minutes over 74 appearances. Lee is expected to be fully healthy ahead of training camp.
Monte Morris : Intends to sign with Suns
Morris and the Suns agreed to a one-year, veteran minimum deal worth $2.8 million Tuesday, Gerald Bourguet of GoPHNX.com reports. The Suns need cheap backups behind their expensive core of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, and Morris is known around the league as a fairly reliable option at the backup guard spot. The 29-year-old spent the end of last year in Minnesota after being traded by the Pistons on Feb. 7. He averaged 5.1 points, 2.3 assists, 1.7 rebounds and 0.7 steals in 27 regular-season games for the Timberwolves.
Collin Gillespie : Joins Suns on two-way deal
Gillespie signed a two-way deal with the Suns on Monday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Gillespie missed his entire rookie season with Denver while recovering from surgery to repair a fractured right leg. He returned to action last year, making 24 appearances before being shut down with a left knee sprain. Gillespie is presumably healthy after passing a physical to make this deal official, but he's certainly not guaranteed a rotational role with Phoenix in 2024-25.
