Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox has quietly had one heck of a week and also made a little bit of history Sunday.

Knox reached the end zone twice and helped lead the Bills (10-4) to a 35-31 victory over MVP candidate Drake Maye and the New England Patriots (11-3).

Knox now has 25 career touchdown receptions, the most by any tight end in Bills history.

Dawson Knox and Wife, Alexandra, Welcomes Baby Girl

It’s been a whirlwind week for Knox, whose wife, Alexandra, gave birth to a baby girl on Tuesday. The first child for the couple.

“Noa Elizabeth Knox 🤍 12•9•2025 A love like no other. Thank you, Jesus,” Alexandra wrote in an Instagram post.

Many in Bills Mafia were wondering why Knox was absent at practice on Wednesday, but Alexandra’s post put all the rumors to rest.

“Dawson Knox, what a week, holy smokes,” said Bills head coach Sean McDermott postgame. “Having a new baby, he and his wife. Congratulations to them. And then two touchdowns and setting the record. A great award, a great honor and a great leader as well.”

Josh Allen and Bills Comeback on Patriots

Josh Allen tossed three touchdown passes, while James Cook scored three times—two on the ground and once through the air—as the Bills erased a 21-0 hole to defeat New England 35-31 on Sunday, denying the Patriots an AFC East clincher.

Allen went 19-for-28 for 193 yards, while Cook carried the ball 22 times for 107 yards as the Bills avoided a division sweep for the first time since 2019. Buffalo also reached double-digit wins for the seventh straight season.

The tables have turned in Buffalo where they no longer find themselves as the runaway stewards of the AFC East. The Patriots maintain the lead in the division and control their own destiny.

Allen vs. Maye Was Competitive Down Stretch

Trailing 24-7 at halftime, Buffalo opened the second half with a sharp drive, sparked by Ray Davis’ 58-yard kickoff return and a 20-yard run by Allen, setting up Allen’s 4-yard touchdown pass to Knox. After forcing a New England three-and-out, the Bills chewed up just over five minutes on an 11-play, 70-yard march that ended with Cook’s 3-yard touchdown run.

On the Patriots’ ensuing possession, Maye’s deep throw was intercepted by Tre’Davious White. Buffalo took over at the New England 9 and later faced fourth down near midfield, where Allen extended the drive with a 37-yard completion to Dalton Kincaid before hitting Knox again for a 14-yard touchdown to give the Bills a 27-24 lead.

The advantage was short-lived, lasting only 14 seconds, as TreVeyon Henderson broke free down the sideline for a 65-yard touchdown on New England’s next snap. Buffalo answered immediately, finishing a seven-play, 65-yard drive with Cook’s 11-yard scoring run to regain the lead at 35-31 with 6:48 left.

Next week, the Bills head to Cleveland to take on the Browns (3-11), while the Patriots visit Baltimore to face the Ravens (7-7) on “Sunday Night Football.”
