The Buffalo Bills are off to a hot start this season, and quarterback Josh Allen looks every bit the league’s reigning MVP.
Not only are the Bills starting the season 3-0 for the second consecutive season, but they’ve also scored at least 30 points per game for the second straight year. Heading into Week 4 against the New Orleans Saints, Allen has completed 69.7% of his passes for 755 yards, five touchdowns, and zero turnovers, along with 114 rushing yards and two scores.
While a high turnover rate used to be a routine part of the “Josh Allen experience,” the dual-threat quarterback has successfully protected the ball since the start of last season. When asked what changed or finally clicked, Allen gave credit to offensive coordinator Joey Brady, his offensive line, and committee of offensive weapons.
“That whole ‘everybody eats’ mentality that Joe’s allowed us to take over — it allowed me to be free [and] not worry so much about where the ball is going,” Allen told reporters on September 24.

Instead of putting the entire offense on his shoulders, Allen feels confident handing the ball off to running back James Cook. Against the Miami Dolphins in Week 3, Cook recorded a rushing touchdown for the seventh consecutive game, tying a franchise record.

During the Bills‘ season opener, Steinfeld watched the game with Allen’s mom, LaVonne Allen, and her parents, Cheri and Pete Steinfeld. For Buffalo’s Thursday Night Football matchup in Week 3, she joined Bills defensive tackle DaQuan Jones‘ wife, Alexis Jones, and wide receiver Gabe Davis’ partner, Jordan Michaels, at Highmark Stadium for the primetime game.
Alexis posted an album from the game on Instagram on Thursday, September 25, that included a selfie of the trio. The Oscar-nominated actress rocked a vintage Bills hat and a red sweater, perfectly in line with her quintessential game-day looks.
Steinfeld trolled Miami when asked to name the four teams in the AFC East during an interview with “Who, What, Wear” in February. Instead of simply naming the Bills, New England Patriots, New York Jets, and Dolphins, Steinfeld answered, “The Buffalo Bills and their three sons,” reminding everyone which team won five consecutive AFC East titles.
Speaking to ESPN before facing the Dolphins, Allen reiterated the importance of his marriage and where that ranks amid winning MVP and other career successes.
“They’ve all been big, none other than marrying my best friend,” Allen said. “And she makes everything easier, so I don’t really focus on the other stuff. That was the most important decision I’ll make in my life, and I made the right one.”
Hailee Steinfeld Earned High Praise From Bills General Manager Brandon Beane

Before Steinfeld and Allen officially tied the knot, the 28-year-old earned high praise from Bills general manager Brandon Beane. “I’ll tell you what,” Beane said during an appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show” in May, “she is as humble as they come.”
“She’s done a lot of stuff with our local women, the wives, girlfriends of the club, and I’ve heard it not only from my wife, but so many of the others, like, just how down-to-earth she is for the success she’s had.”
