The Indiana Fever are back in action less than 24 hours after losing to the New York Liberty on Saturday. The Fever visit the Chicago Sky as part of their five-game road trip and the second game of a back-to-back.

Amid the Fever’s grueling schedule of five games in eight days, Caitlin Clark had a message to his teammates ahead of their game against the Sky.

“Chicago’s playing really good basketball,” Clark said on Saturday’s postgame media availability. “I think for us, you have to look at it a positive way. We’re coming off of a loss. It’s a great opportunity for us to go and finish this road trip on a win. That’s how I see it. Yeah, everybody’s tired, everybody’s sore, who cares? Figure out a way to make yourself feel better and suit up and go play.”

The Sky are on a three-game winning streak, so they have momentum heading into tonight’s game. However, it’s still a big test for Chicago since they are on an eight-game losing streak to the Fever.

Meanwhile, the Fever are on a two-game losing skid and have fallen to fifth in the WNBA standings with six games left in the regular season. They will need to finish strong to ensure homecourt advantage for the first round of the playoffs.

Tonight’s game is the third and final meeting between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky this season. The Fever won the first two matchups on June 11 in Indianapolis and on August 8 in Chicago.

Aliyah Boston led the way in the first game, finishing with 34 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks in the Fever’s 114-106 win in overtime. Caitlin Clark had 32 points, seven rebounds and 10 assists, while Kelsey Mitchell added 19 points.

On August 8, it was the Clark-Mitchell duo that did damage in the Fever’s 90-86 victory. Clark had 26 points and 11 assists, while Mitchell put up 27 points and five rebounds. Boston contributed 13 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks.

The Sky, on the other hand, will look to snap their eight-game losing streak to the Fever. They have not beaten the Fever since June 23, 2024.

After a slow start to the season, Caitlin Clark has picked up her game and elevated the Indiana Fever alongside Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston.

Clark remains as the engine of the Fever offense, prompting WNBA.com’s Candace Pedraza to rank her third in the latest MVP power rankings.

The Fever superstar is behind reigning four-time MVP A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces and rookie guard Olivia Miles of the Minnesota Lynx.

The award appears to be Wilson’s to lose, while Miles and Clark can earn more votes if they finish the regular season stronger.
