The picture didn’t turn out as well as I hoped but I had a wonderful time. Val was a wonderful guy who is dealing with exactly what I had, and things don’t look too good for him. My prayers are with him. That’s why you haven’t heard too much from Val lately.

Thank you all for your love and support. There’s a rumor I’m unwell again and in hospital which is totally untrue. Friends have assisted who know my spiritual convictions and have been most sensitive and kind for the extra effort in making sure there’s minimum gossip and silly talk.
4. Val Kilmer Has Denied Having Cancer In the Past
Several times, Val Kilmer has come out to deny having cancer when rumors and reports have swirled around him. In addition to a statement he put out on Facebook, which is listed in “fact 3,” Kilmer also posted the following, similar message:
I have not had a tumor, or a tumor operations [sic], or any operation. I had a complication where the best way to receive care was to stay under the watchful eye of the UCLA ICU.
5. In 2014, Kilmer’s Weight Dropped Significantly and Alarmed Many Fans
Val Kilmer has put on a lot of weight and then dropped a significant amount of pounds in 2014, which prompted fans and the media to start talking. Some fans were concerned that Kilmer was ill, so Kilmer spoke out online, explaining:
I have been urged by friends to post something about my perfect health and weight loss. Can’t win in this crazy town. Too heavy for too many years and now gossip says, too thin! But I’m preparing as most of you know, for my dream role, Mark Twain in a film I’ve written and will direct about his obsession with Mary Baker Eddy. Mark Twain was a thin man, and finally after the usual amount of effort, I’m thin again too. Perfect health. Having a ball with my kids over the holidays, making art while doing rewrites, meeting actors and preparing to direct my film, and of course shopping. Have to go back to wearing a hood again while out in the hood. Can’t win in this crazy town but as Chris Penn used to say with such a Devils grin, “If you got the game then you don’t need the fame.”
