On Thursday afternoon, Tiger Woods took to Twitter with the above Tweet, denying Daily Mail rumors that he’s in a relationship with personal stylist Kristin Smith, who is also the ex-wife of Cowboys player Gerald Sensabaugh.
Now that we know he isn’t with Smith, fans are wondering who Woods really is dating.
If he’s seeing anyone, Woods has done a good job of keeping it quiet. He was most recently linked to Instagram star Laci Kay Somers after the two were seen hanging out in Florida. Not long after the rumors surfaced, however, Somers shot them down, and told TMZ that not only was she in LA that weekend and far away from Florida– she’s never even met Tiger.
It’s likely Woods is trying to keep his romantic life out of the media. In 2003, he became engaged to Swedish model Elin Nordegren. The couple married on October 5, 2004, and gave birth to their first child, Sam Alexis Woods, in 2007. Then, in 2009, the couple had their first son, Charlie Alex Woods.
In December 2009, Woods apologized publicly for past “transgressions”. In his statement, he said, “I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves.” Not long after, ABC News reported that at least 9 women came forward and said they reportedly had affairs with the golfer. In subsequent weeks, a number of Woods’ sponsors pulled their deals with him. He and Nordegren divorced on August 23, 2010.
Nordegren kept quiet after the divorce and refused to speak publicly about Woods. In 2014, she opened up to People, saying, “My relationship with Tiger is centered around our children and we are doing really good – we really are – and I am so happy that is the case. He is a great father.”
