Trish Regan of Bloomberg has tweeted reports from the Ukrainian International Minister that 23 United States citizens were killed in the Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 crash in Eastern Ukraine.
The plane was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur when it disappeared off radar near the Ukrainian-Russian border. The plane was carrying 280 passengers and 15 crew, and initial reports say that everyone aboard has died.
It’s now believed the plane was shot down. Both the Ukrainian government and pro-Russian eastern Ukrainian separatists have denied responsibility.
A Malaysian Airlines flight crashed in Ukraine, shot down by a surface-to-air missile. All 298 onboard are dead. Initial reports said 23 of those were U.S. citizens, but zero American deaths have been confirmed.Click here to read more
