WATCH: The Beatles Restored ‘A Day in the Life’ Music Video

Mashable has gained exclusive rights to a new, restored music video version of The Beatles song “A Day in the Life”, originally recorded in January and February 1967. Click here to watch it.

According to Mashable, the above video is the first of fifty restored promotional films called “mini movies” that the band plans to release. They are being released to celebrate a new deluxe edition of the 2000 Beatles compilation album 1.

The above “mini movie” shows John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison recording the song with a large orchestra in January and February 1967. The video also features some cameo appearances by fellow rock stars Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.

This is one of my favorite songs too and to come across it’s video now after all these years is beyond overwhelming. I don’t know if some other version of it existed already out there, but the remastered version got released just today, and this is the first time I am watching it and I know exactly how you feel. :) – iamalbus
