In a new photo report purportedly released by the Islamic State, victims of an alleged airstrike by Turkey on the town of Tedef, Syria are shown. It is not stated if the men pictured are civilians or not. Civilian casualties of Turkish airstrikes have been confirmed in the past, according to Human Rights Watch. The photo report was released on ISIS terrorist channels on January 3. An accompanying summary of the photo report reads: "Victims of the Bombarding of the Murtad #Turkish Army on Tadif Town." "Murtad" is an Islamic term for an apostate. ISIS uses the term for any group or people that doesn't adhere to its extremist interpretation of Sunni Islam.
