Wide Receiver Outlook Week 16
Antonio Brown (WR17) bounced back from two single-digit performances to put up his best fantasy performance since Week 16 of the 2018 season. Brown checked in second on the team with eight receptions for 93 yards. His 20.3 points led all Bucs pass-catchers, while his targets tied with Mike Evans and Rob Gronkowski for the team-lead. That latter statistic should not surprise many. Excluding a dud Week 12, where the Tampa Bay offense as a whole struggled, AB has received 38 targets since joining Tampa Bay, which is tied with Mike Evans for the team-lead.
Those owners who were called crazy for rostering Brown when it seemed like his days in the NFL were numbered, may have very well found themselves a league-winner. The Lions defense has allowed an average of 51.24 ppg to the WR position over the past two weeks, the most in the NFL over that span. They also rank top-three in receptions and yards surrendered.
