Week 16 Fantasy Rankings: Tight End
Safe to say Logan Thomas‘ (TE4) conversion from college QB to NFL TE has been a success. Enjoying a career year, Thomas has scored 23.0-plus points in two of his last three games and is the third-highest scoring player at his position since Week 12 (17.9 ppg). Even more important, he’s averaged a hefty 10.3 targets over the past three weeks. Since Week 10, the Panthers have allowed five receiving TDs to opposing TEs.
Noah Fant (TE6) has not enjoyed the breakout campaign many projected he would this season. While his 20.8 points last week were the fourth-most amongst NFL TEs, it was also the first time since Week 2 he’s found the endzone and the second time over that span that he’s scored in double-digits. Still, he’s been serviceable at a position lacking consistency and has a chance to build on his breakout performance against Los Angeles. Since Week 8, the Chargers have allowed six receiving TDs to TEs, while Darren Waller gashed them to the tune of 150 receiving yards just last week.
