Houston Astros Demote 29-Year-Old Pitcher Before Athletics Series

On Friday night, the Houston Astros will host the Athletics in Texas.

They are coming off an 18-3 loss to the Los Angeles Angels (also at home).

Houston Astros Demote 29-Year-Old Pitcher

Ahead of their series with the Athletics, the Astros announced that they had optioned Bryan King back to Triple-A.

Brian McTaggart of MLB.com wrote: “RHP Kai-Wei Teng recalled from Triple-A Sugar Land and LHP Bryan King optioned.”

King was picked in the 30th round of the 2019 MLB Draft.

He has spent all three years of his MLB career with the Astros.

Right now, the 29-year-old is 2-3 with a 4.75 ERA in 51 games.
