Hield amassed 20 points (6-10 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and one assist over 21 minutes during Thursday's 118-115 loss to the Knicks in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Hield went scoreless in two of the first three games of the series and was a DNP-CD in Games 4 and 5, but he provided a lift with his scoring off the bench in Game 6, particularly when the Sixers were in a complicated spot during the second and third quarters. Hield struggled in the series, but this 20-point effort will be a reminder of what he can do when he's given a consistent role on offense, regardless of his role.

Latest 76ers News
Buddy Hield : Scores 20 points in Game 6 loss
Joel Embiid : 39-point effort not enough Thursday
Embiid provided 39 points (12-25 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 13-13 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 40 minutes before fouling out of Thursday's 118-115 loss to the Knicks in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Embiid was clearly not 100 percent healthy throughout the series, and the limitations were more noticeable as the series progressed but still posted outstanding stat lines, scoring 29 or more points in four of the six contests. He also recorded three double-doubles and a triple-double, but he couldn't do the heavy lifting on his own in the games where Tyrese Maxey struggled. Between the Play-In win over the Heat and the first-round series against the Knicks, Embiid averaged 31.6 points, 11.4 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 1.3 blocks across 41.0 minutes per game.
Tyrese Maxey : Poor shooting in Game 6 loss
Maxey recorded 17 points (6-18 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, five assists and two steals over 43 minutes during Thursday's 118-115 loss to the Knicks in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Maxey was coming off a heroic performance in Game 5, scoring 46 points and making some clutch buckets to keep the 76ers alive in the series. However, he wasn't able to deliver in Game 6 and finished with more field-goal attempts than points scored. Maxey posted her lowest-scoring tally of the series in Thursday's loss, but he still averaged 29.8 points, 6.8 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game in the first round of the playoffs.
Joel Embiid : Available for Game 6
Embiid (knee) is available and starting in Game 6 against the Knicks on Thursday. This is not a surprise considering the situation the 76ers are in, as Philadelphia must win this game to force a decisive Game 7. Embiid is averaging 31.8 points, 10.4 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.2 steals per game in the first-round series against the Knicks.
Joel Embiid : Questionable for Game 6
Embiid (knee) is questionable for Game 6 against the Knicks on Thursday. Embiid has been listed as questionable for every game in this series so far, but he's yet to miss a game, so he feels much closer to probable. While the reigning MVP hasn't looked 100 percent, he continues to stuff the stat sheet and has averaged 31.8 points, 10.4 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.2 steals in 41.8 minutes.
Kelly Oubre : Scores 14 points in win
Oubre notched 14 points (6-13 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four rebounds, one block and two steals across 39 minutes during Tuesday's 112-106 overtime win over the Knicks in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Oubre played through an illness Tuesday night but managed to have a positive impact on both ends of the court. Through five games in this series, Oubre holds averages of 12.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 blocks, 2.0 steals and 1.2 three-pointers.
Joel Embiid : Triple-doubles in win
Embiid ended with 19 points (7-19 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-6 FT), 16 rebounds, 10 assists, four blocks and one steal in 48 minutes during Tuesday's 112-106 overtime win over the Knicks in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. This was considered an off game for Embiid, yet he still managed a triple-double to keep the 76ers alive in the playoffs. Embiid wasn't quite himself and was moving around pretty slowly, as he was battling both a migraine and some left knee soreness. The 76ers will be hopeful that Embiid will feel more like himself for Game 6 on Thursday.
Tyrese Maxey : Erupts for 46 points
Maxey amassed 46 points (17-30 FG, 7-12 3Pt, 5-8 FT), five rebounds and nine assists in 52 minutes during Tuesday's 112-106 overtime victory over the Knicks in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Joel Embiid clearly wasn't 100 percent, so Maxey stepped up in a big way for the 76ers. He used his quickness to get whatever look he wanted on the court, and he hit a three-pointer near halfcourt to send this game to overtime. This series will head back to Philadelphia for Game 6 on Thursday with the Knicks leading 3-2.
