New Buffalo Bills head coach Joe Brady had his introductory press conference on Thursday. Several headlines emerged from the nearly two-hour press conference, with general manager Brandon Beane providing more information about the hiring and firing of former head coach Sean McDermott, Josh Allen announcing a successful surgery, and Joe Brady addressing the media for the first time as a head coach.

But perhaps the most memorable moment from the presser came with Brady’s closing remarks.

The new head coach spoke both to the people of Buffalo and the Bills on the roster he’s coached for three years as he fought back tears at the podium.

“The pride and passion of the Buffalo Bills is second to none,” Brady said. “Bills Mafia, I feel it. I felt it. There’s no other place that when you travel, there’s unwritten rules that you have to wear Bill’s logos. And you go on an airplane, and you swear that you were playing a home game the next day because it’s completely full of Bills fans.

“And the power that no matter where you are in the country — you can be in Italy, you can be in California — you can be across the world. That power that, as you walk by someone and they’re wearing a Bills logo… and not saying much, but just saying ‘Go Bills.'”

He went on to say that his main focus as head coach of the Buffalo Bills is to put a product on the field that the Bills Mafia is proud of.

Emotional Message To The Players

Several players came out to support Brady at his introductory press conference. ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg was on the scene and reported seeing “QB Josh Allen, LS Reid Ferguson, RB Ty Johnson, RT Spencer Brown, TE Dalton Kincaid, CB Maxwell Hairston, among others.”

At one point during his speech, the new head coach looked directly at his players to share the appreciation he has for them, and getting choked up during the process.

“Lastly, our players, my guys,” Brady said before pausing to fight back tears. “I’m so appreciative of you guys being here today. Thank you for allowing me to be myself, playing for me, and being you with us…

“Lastly, I talked about love. Josh always says it: if you love someone, let them know. I love you guys. I’m going to leave that with, Go Bills. Thank you.”
