Nicholas Robertson: Everything you need to know

The Dodgers signed Robertson to a minor-league contract Friday, Ari Alexander of 7 News Boston reports. Robertson was drafted by the Dodgers and reached the majors with them in 2023 before bouncing around with a few different organizations since then. The 27-year-old spent all of 2025 at the Triple-A level between the Astros' and Royals' affiliates, holding a 4.30 ERA and 52:30 K:BB over 52.1 frames. Robertson is likely ticketed for the bullpen at Triple-A Oklahoma City to begin the 2026 campaign.

Robertson signed a minor-league contract with the Royals on Tuesday, Ari Alexander of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Robertson was released by Houston earlier Tuesday, and it didn't take long for him to find a new gig. The 27-year-old righty has spent all season in the minors, turning in a 4.25 ERA and 1.42 WHIP through 36 Triple-A innings. He'll fill in as organizational depth for Triple-A Omaha but could reach the big leagues if his performance improves after leaving the hitter-friendly PCL.

The Astros outrighted Robertson to Triple-A Sugar Land on Friday. After he was acquired from the Blue Jays on April 1, Robertson didn't receive a call-up to the big leagues before Houston designated him for assignment last week. Robertson will remain in the organization after clearing waivers and will continue to serve as bullpen depth at the Triple-A level.
