The UFC recently announced “UFC 117: Silva vs. Sonnen” for Oakland, California on August 7. Today, the promotion announced that tickets for the event would be on sale starting next week.
On June 9, UFC Fight Club members will be granted a pre-sale ticket opportunity that will allow those looking to attend the Oakland event the first shot at tickets. The tickets will go on sale to the members at 10 a.m. PT/ 1 p.m. ET next Wednesday. At the same time the following day, June 10, the promotion will have the UFC Newsletter presale. All those who receive the official newsletters from the promotion will be given a password that allows early access to tickets to the event.
On June 11, just one day prior to UFC 115, the tickets will go on sale to the general public. Like the presale events, tickets will go on the market at 10 a.m. PT/ 1 p.m. ET, but will be available to anyone looking to attend the event.
UFC 117 features a middleweight championship fight between title holder Anderson Silva and the highly-talkative Chael Sonnen. The co-main event of the evening will be a welterweight contest between Ricardo Almeida and recently inducted UFC Hall of Famer Matt Hughes.
