“Korean Zombie” forced out of “UFC Fight Night 23: Fight for the Troops 2”
Chan Sung Jung has withdrawn from his “UFC Fight Night 23: Fight for the Troops 2” bout with Rani Yahya due to an undisclosed injury.
Heavy.com confirmed the injury with sources close to the fight. MMAJunkie.com first reported the news.
Jung made waves in the WEC in his debut against Leonard Garcia at WEC 48, losing a controversial split decision but winning over fans in the process. He was defeated by knockout by George Roop in his last outing at WEC 51.
Yahya, also coming off back to back losses, is expected to get a replacement opponent.
“UFC Fight Night 23: UFC Fight for the Troops 2” takes place at Fort Hood near Killeen, Texas on Jan. 22 and will raise money for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
