Wreck forces Fukuda out of Natal bout; replacement unknown
Middleweight Riki Fukuda has been forced out of his UFC 133 bout with Rafael Natal due to a knee injury suffered in June 16 car wreck.
Natal tweeted the news overnight. Costas Philippou will serve as his replacement.
Fukuda lost a controversial decision to Nick Ring at UFC 127 in February when the judges awarded Ring a fight clearly won by Fukuda.
UFC 133 takes place on Aug. 6 in Philadelphia. It is headlined by a light heavyweight contender’s bout between former belt holder Rashad Evans and super-prospect Phil Davis.
