Arian Smith: Everything you need to know

Smith finished his rookie 2025 season with seven catches for 52 yards on 16 targets while adding four carries for 13 yards. He also notched two kickoff returns for 49 yards and recorded three solo tackles. Smith didn't make much of an impact on offense, as his longest catch went for 23 yards. In his limited action on that side of the ball, Smith primarily ran deep routes but didn't get much attention from the Jets' underwhelming stable of quarterbacks. The 2025 fourth-round pick should have little trouble holding onto a roster spot in 2026 thanks to his contributions as a gunner on special teams, but Smith would need to develop substantially as a receiver to earn fantasy consideration.

Smith failed to haul in his lone target while playing seven of the Jets' 66 snaps on offense in Sunday's 29-6 loss to the Saints. The rookie fourth-round pick has suited up for each of the Jets' last three games but remains an afterthought on offense. He's played single-digit snaps in each of those contests and owns an unremarkable 6-47-0 receiving line on 13 targets through 14 appearances on the campaign.

Smith didn't record a reception on two targets in Sunday's 48-20 loss to the Jaguars. Smith hadn't received a target in his previous four games and was unable to haul in either of his opportunities during Sunday's loss. The rookie wideout from Georgia has made 13 appearances this season, catching six of 12 targets for 47 tards while rushing three times for 11 yards. He's expected to remain a depth option in the Jets' receiving corps in the Week 16 matchup against the Saints.
