Liga MX wraps up it’s Apertura season tonight, when Tigres and Pumas collide in the second leg of the league final. Tigres came away with an impressive 3-0 victory in the first leg, forcing an aggressive mindset for Pumas going into tonight.
Tigres are in pursuit of their fourth league championship. The credit goes to Frenchmean Andre-Pierre Gignac, who chose Tigres over more traditional European offerings. The choice paid off, as Gignac exploded for 11 goals in his first 14 Liga MX appearances. His form has been so good that it got the attention of Didier Deschamps, who called up Gignac for France’s friendlies in November.
It’s part of a blueprint for Tigres, who are fast-approaching the level of Mexico’s two major clubs: Chivas and América.
Today’s match will be shown on TV on Univision Deportes, but several services will carry the game online. Sling TV offers a free trial for it’s ‘Best of Spanish TV’ package, and FuboTV has a free trial for its service, which includes all Mexican League matches.
