It’s no secret that reality star Kim Kardashian and Ferrari Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton – who holds seven World Championship titles – have been making the most of their budding romance and enjoying their time spent together. The two have been spotted worldwide holding hands, watching the sunset together, and embracing in a hug before enjoying some quiet, peaceful time away at Lake Powell. But even when the pair aren’t together, they’re still all smiles and joy as they manage their respective globetrotting, high demand lives.
The post made by Kim Kardashian very shortly after the Australian GP podium ceremony concluded didn’t confirm that she was ‘down under’ as fans had hoped she’d be for the first race of the Formula 1 season, but it did give a reminder that both Hamilton and Kardashian have priorities in their lives outside of their romance. Here’s what to know about Kim’s post and Lewis Hamilton’s performance in Melbourne this past weekend.
Kim’s Sweet Message For Her Daughter

GettyWEST HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA – OCTOBER 17: (L-R) Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Stormi Webster, Kylie Jenner, and Khloé Kardashian attend Kylie Jenner’s 10 Years of Kylie Cosmetics Celebration with Friends & Family on October 17, 2025 in West Hollywood, California.
Kim Kardashian took to her Instagram account just hours after the 2026 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix to post photos of her youngest daughter, Chicago West. Though fans were hoping for the SKIMS mogul to make an appearance in Melbourne to support Lewis Hamilton in person, there was still plenty of celebration in the comments section of Kardashian’s post in honor of her daughter.
Kim’s sister Khloe Kardashian commented on the post saying, “Your twin” and other commenters validated the sentiment. As comments were flowing in, Lewis Hamilton and the Ferrari team were celebrating their podium finish at the exact same time after competing in the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne.

Lewis Hamilton and the Scuderia Ferrari F1 Team were extremely successful at the opening race for the 2026 FIA Formula 1 season. Hamilton’s Ferrari teammate, Charles Leclerc, finished third in the Australian Grand Prix, thus earning a spot on the podium next to both of the Mercedes’ drivers – George Russell who finished in first and Kimi Antonelli who took second place. For Hamilton, he finished in fourth – known as P4 in F1 terms – and was just short of the podium, but his time was still exceptionally impressive for the season opener.
After the race in Melbourne concluded, Hamilton took to his own Instagram account to post a message of gratitude to the Ferrari team for their efforts in helping both himself and his teammate achieve top finishes at the inaugural 2026 Grand Prix. Then he expressed his intentions for the upcoming 2026 Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai that is set for Sunday, March 15, 2026. Fans are already excited about the prospect of seeing Kim Kardashian supporting her new beau in Shanghai, but even if she isn’t there it’s safe to say that she’ll be supporting Hamilton from afar!
