The Las Vegas Raiders are in the news cycle due to a report from Mike Silver of The Athletic regarding the role of the right-hand man to the team’s minority owner, Tom Brady.

“Like many players and coaches, Crosby was frustrated by the presence of Alex Guerrero, a staunch Brady ally whose official title is wellness coordinator,” Silver wrote.

“Guerrero, who regularly attends practices and meetings, purports to possess significant organizational power, informing players of impending transactions and even indicating to staff members who don’t follow his instructions that their jobs may be at risk.”

With Crosby reportedly upset with Guerrero’s presence within the Raiders and potentially being a reason for wanting out, sports media host Jim Rome is calling out Brady for how he’s helped run the team since becoming a minority owner in 2024.

“He pops in four times a year, calls shots from wherever the hell he is, and just leaves his creepy lapdog, urgh, narc, urgh, wellness guru behind in his stead to make everybody uncomfortable,” Rome said on the March 4 edition of “The Jim Rome Show.”

“No wonder Maxx wants out, and he absolutely should. Anybody who wants to win should be running away from this slab of bacon and his wellness coordinator.”

Tom Brady Also Receives Criticism for Split Role

Moreover, Rome went into how Brady is operating as a minority owner of the Raiders, splitting time between the team and his color analyst role for FOX Sports during the NFL season. Nonetheless, being in this split role from Brady hasn’t helped Las Vegas find success since his arrival two years ago.

“I’m telling you, this dude, this dude’s got the best job ever,” Rome added. “Think about it: Best job ever. [Brady] only has to show up four or five times a year [and] he has almost total autonomy and power.

“He can say and do whatever the hell he wants from wherever the hell he wants, all while having his rats and moles report to him while he runs an NFL franchise remotely. Hell, best job ever, but he’s doing the worst job ever. Man, that is good work if you can get it.”

Maxx Crosby Gets Bold Message on Raiders Future

Amid this latest report that Crosby is frustrated by Guerrero’s presence, there’s a new prediction about the star player’s future with the Silver and Black. On the March 4 edition of “Wake Up Barstool,” The Athletic’s James Palmer shared a bold take on the Crosby situation.

“I think there’s a chance that this happens this week, that he’s on the move,” Palmer said. “I think the reason that is, is you want to maximize things, right?

“If you’re [Raiders general manager] John Spytek, and I had a chance to have a conversation with him at the Combine, if you want to maximize this, you want to get it done before everybody else is bidding on edge rushers or spending their money or spending their cap money, and you have the ability to move him before that happens. I think that puts the Raiders in the best spot possible.”
