Covey (shoulder) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. The Eagles designated Covey to return from injured reserve Wednesday, and he opened the week strong as a full participant for Philadelphia's first official practice. If he's able practice without limitations over the next two days, Covey could be activated off IR and be available for Sunday's game against the Rams. Over the first three games of the regular season, he logged seven catches on as many targets for 34 yards.
Smith (hamstring) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice. Smith is dealing with a hamstring injury for a third straight week, but he was able to suit up for the previous two games, combining for six catches (on nine targets) for 43 yards in wins against the Cowboys and Commanders. As such, he likely isn't is danger of missing Sunday's contest at the Rams, but his status nonetheless will need to be monitored in the coming days to ensure he'll be out there this weekend.
Hurts was limited at Wednesday's practice due to an ankle injury. Hurts told Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer on Wednesday that the Eagles have had him on a "mini-program" due to a lower-body issue he's been dealing with since last Thursday's win against the Commanders. There's an expectation that Hurts will follow up Wednesday's capped session with full participation Thursday and Friday, according to Tim McManus of ESPN.com. The aforementioned regimen thus will allow Hurts to continue to lead Philadelphia's offense Sunday night at the Rams.
Covey (shoulder) has been designated to return from injured reserve and will practice Wednesday, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports. Covey has been sidelined since Week 3 by the injury, but his return to the field is officially in motion. He'll now have a 21-day window to practice with the team before he needs to be added to the active roster, but he could play as soon as Sunday against the Rams if he's healthy enough to do so.
Head coach Nick Siriani stated Huff will have surgery on his wrist Thursday, ruling him out for Sunday's game against the Rams, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Huff has been playing with a cast on for the last two games, but will ultimately opt for surgery, instead of continuing to try and play through the injury. According to Olivia Reiner of The Philadelphia Inquirer, it's not clear how long Huff will need to stay sidelined, but the expectation is that he'll have an opportunity to return toward the end of the season.
Covey (shoulder) has not been designated to return to practice from the injured reserve list after Week 11, Martin Frank of The Delaware News Journal reports. Covey has missed the Eagles' last seven games due to a broken shoulder he suffered in Week 3 at New Orleans, and it appears he'll probably have to sit out at least one more as Week 12 approaches. It also looks like he may have a slightly different role awaiting him when he returns, as special teams coordinator Michael Clay said Tuesday that rookie second-rounder Cooper DeJean would retain a spot in Philadelphia's punt-return unit even after Covey becomes available again.
Blankenship recorded 10 tackles (four solo) and an interception during Thursday's 26-18 win versus the Commanders. Blankenship intercepted a Jayden Daniels pass intended for Noah Brown late in the fourth quarter to set up the touchdown that put Philadelphia up 26-10. His 10 tackles also tied a personal season high. He'll be on the fringe of IDP consideration in most formats in Week 12 against the Rams.
