Fans have gotten into a routine of watching the Olympics every day, but unfortunately you may be going through a bit of a winter withdrawal with no games on the TV schedule for the foreseeable future. No, there are no Olympic games on TV today.

The 2026 Winter Olympics ended on Sunday, February 22, meaning there are no events on Monday, February 23. The Closing Ceremony also took place on February 22, to officially mark the end of the Winter Olympics.

Fans are already counting down the days to the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. There are 872 days until the Summer Olympics start, just in case you are wondering.

With no Olympics on TV, fans will have to turn to the NBA and college basketball to watch sports today.

Here’s what you need to know about the 2026 Olympics and the future schedule of events.


When & Where Are the Next Olympic Games?

In keeping with the traditional calendar of events, the next Olympic games take place in Los Angeles starting on July 14, 2028. Fans will have to wait another four years until the next Winter Olympics.

France will host the 2030 Winter Olympics in the French Alps. The next Winter Olympic games get started on February 1, 2030.


Who Won the Most Medals in the 2026 Winter Olympics?

Now, that the Olympics are over, let’s take a look at the medal count. Norway ran away atop the table from start to finish with 41 medals, including 18 golds, with a sizable advantage in both categories.

The United States surpassed Italy to finish second with 33 medals and 12 golds. Italy finished in third place with 30 medals while Germany (26) and Japan (24) closed out the top-five countries in the medal count.


NBA & College Basketball TV Schedule for Monday, February 23

The next big event on the sports calendar is March Madness with the NCAA Tournament officially starting on March 17. For now, there is plenty of college basketball and NBA games on the TV schedule.

No. 8 Kansas hosts No. 2 Houston at 9 p.m. Eastern on ESPN. In the ACC, No. 21 Louisville takes on No. 16 North Carolina at 7 p.m. Eastern on ESPN.

There are just three NBA games on the schedule for Monday, February 23. Peacock subscribers will be treated to a doubleheader as the Spurs take on the Pistons at 7 p.m. Eastern. This will be followed by the Jazz-Rockets game at 9:30 p.m. Eastern.


Team USA Hockey Provided an Olympic Grand Finale by Winning the 1st Men’s Gold Medal Since 1980

The Olympics were a smashing success for United States hockey. Both the men’s and women’s teams won gold medals, defeating Canada in separate overtime matchups.

“Unbelievable game, unreal game by our team,” United States’ Jack Hughes told NBC after scoring the winning goal. “Ballsy, gutsy win. That’s American Hockey right there. That’s a great Canadian team, but we’re USA. We’re so proud to be Americans.

“USA Hockey brotherhood means so much. Look at these guys. We’re such a team.”

For now, the countdown is on until the 2030 Olympics, but this just gives the United States men and women four years to be defending gold medalists.
