The New York Giants are headed to the NFL playoffs as the fifth seed. The Giants will take on the Packers on Sunday, January 8 at 4:15 p.m. Eastern on FOX. New York will travel to Green Bay for the matchup.

With the Cowboys wrapping up the NFC East weeks ago, the Giants have known they would begin the playoffs on the road but did not know their opponent until after the Lions-Packers Sunday Night Football game ended. New York has not been the most consistent team this season, but do enter the postseason with confidence with two wins over the Cowboys proving they can play with any team in the league.

New York has relied on a strong pass rush and an underrated offense this season. The Giants had a slight misstep with their Week 16 loss to the Eagles but have won three of their last four games. Their most recent win over the Redskins eliminated them from playoff contention.

The game will be a rematch of a Week 5 contest between the two teams. Green Bay won the initial meeting 23-16. Aaron Rodgers threw for 259 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Eli Manning threw for 199 yards and 1 touchdown.

The Packers took a 17-6 lead into halftime and never relinquished control of the game. Green Bay brings a six game winning streak into the playoffs.
