WWE superstars Paige and Alberto Del Rio are about to get married.
This news comes after an unfortunate week of news for Paige, as the former Diva’s Champion was recently the victim of a hack and had many of her private, explicit photos and videos stolen and posted on the Internet.
Here’s what you need to know ahead of the wedding of Alberto Del Rio and Paige.
1. The Wedding Will Take Place on Wednesday, March 29th

Paige and Alberto Del Rio will be married on Wednesday, March 29th.
That news comes from Alberto Del Rio’s Instagram page. On March 27th, he posted a photo of himself and Paige with an Elsa balloon with the caption, “We are getting married Wednesday … Have a nice and go and F… yourself hatters.”
This is sooner than the wedding was initially expected to take place. It had previously been reported that Del Rio and Paige would be married in May, although this was never officially announced.
2. This Comes Five Months After Paige’s Proposal

This wedding will be taking place about five months after Paige proposed to Alberto Del Rio.
Paige popped the question in the middle of a wrestling ring at the conclusion of one of Del Rio’s matches in Puerto Rico. Alberto Del Rio left the WWE a few weeks earlier, and at the time, Paige was away on suspension after violating the company’s wellness policy.
In early January, Paige showed off a ring that Alberto Del Rio gave her.
3. They Went Public With Their Relationship About a Year Ago

It’s not totally clear when the relationship between Alberto Del Rio and Paige actually began.
However, they went public with it around this time last year. Photos of Del Rio and Paige embracing at Walt Disney World were posted online in May 2016, with this being the first time they were seen as a couple. It was later reported that they began hooking up before WrestleMania 32.
Unlike many WWE couples who are somewhat private about their off-screen romance, Paige frequently posts photos of herself with Alberto Del Rio.
4. The WWE Reportedly Tried to Break Them Up, Something Del Rio Seemed to Reference in His Announcement

In announcing his wedding to Paige, Alberto Del Rio seems to have confirmed the rumor that the WWE repeatedly tried to get Paige and Del Rio to break up.
It had been reported several months ago that Paige and Del Rio were directly approached and told they had to break up, with insiders saying that they had been behaving like high-schoolers backstage. During the brand split, Paige and Del Rio were, strangely, assigned to different shows, whereas most other superstars who are in relationships with fellow superstars got to stay with their significant other.
Neither Paige nor Del Rio has commented on this rumor in any way until now. Del Rio wrote in this Instagram caption, “I doesn’t matter how many times you try to break us… is not gonna happen… we were harassed by a company we still are… cause you don’t fool me MF’s I know I was you trying to destroy us… destroy my baby…”
5. This Comes After Many of Paige’s Private Photos Leaked Online

This wedding announcement comes just a week after a scandal in which explicit photos and videos of Paige leaked online.
In the photos and videos, Paige is seen with former WWE star Brad Maddox and current WWE star Xavier Woods. Paige would not have been dating Alberto Del Rio when these photos and videos were taken, however.
It was speculated that this could affect Paige’s future with the WWE, mainly because in one of the pictures, she is seen using the NXT Women’s Championship in a sex act. However, the WWE reportedly does not plan to discipline anyone as a response to the videos.
Paige is currently away from the company due to an injury. But she has been suspended twice in the past seven months for wellness policy violations, and her wedding announcement appears to be a sort of middle finger directed towards the WWE, creating serious doubts about Paige’s future with the company.
