On tonight’s episode of The Bachelorette, we finally get to meet Aaron Murray, contestant Josh’s little brother. Read on for the facts on Aaron and why he’s making headlines.
1. Aaron Murray Is a Huge Football Star
Aaron Murray is a big name at the University of Georgia and the Dorfman family are big fans of the now Kansas City Chiefs quarterback. ESPN reports on Aaron’s career:
Aaron is no stranger to the spotlight. The former Georgia star finished his college career holding SEC records for completions, yards passing, touchdown passes and total offense, parlaying all that success into a shot to play for the Chiefs.

On tonight’s episode of The Bachelorette, Dorfman visits the homes of the final four contestants. When Dorfman visits Josh Murray’s home, we finally get to meet golden boy Aaron and Dorfman is a huge fan of his. Nonetheless, when Josh tells Dorfman that he put his baseball career on the back-burner to help his little brother become the star he is today, it doesn’t sit too well with her. Online Athens writes:
According to the preview, that concern is mostly with Josh’s attention to his brother’s career.
So what’s the real deal with that? ESPN gives the run-down:
Like his younger brother, Josh grew up playing sports … He was chosen out of high school by the Milwaukee Brewers in the second round of the 2002 draft, but fizzled out after several years in the minor leagues. He later enrolled at Georgia and spent two seasons playing safety while Aaron was becoming the star quarterback.
3. Josh’s Brother Likes to Make Fun of Him for Being on The Bachelorette
It’s all out of love, but Josh’s brother Aaron loves to make jokes about Josh’s being on the show. Aaron watches his big brother on The Bachelorette every Monday and enjoys giving Josh a hard time about it. Aaron told ESPN:
It’s all craziness, but a lot of fun. Monday nights are crazy, my phone is blowing up with friends and family talking about what he’s doing. And I always give him a hard time. There was a time where he was stuttering on the TV, and I was like, ‘Josh, c’mon man, I didn’t teach you that.’
Holy smokes my brother @jmurbulldog is gonna be on the Bachelorette starting tonight! About to get interesting #scoopscoop
