Bindi Irwin on ‘DWTS’: The ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Contestant to Watch

Bindi Irwin

Bindi Irwin, the daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, is killing it on Dancing With the Stars as the celebrity partner of Derek Hough. Tonight, she is dancing the Tango with Hough to AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long" and she has a fierce costume to wear. Irwin picked that song because it's one she used to dance to with her late dad at Australia Zoo. One judge who is singing Irwin's praises is DWTS judge Julianne Hough, who told People: Bindi was fantastic, her whole energy, her spirit is infectious ... I just feel like she's a really great role model for young girls because she looks like she is so comfortable in her own skin, where therefore makes everybody else feel comfortable in their skin. So I just think she's a great person to be on the show, to represent that she's 17 and she likes herself, you know? It's pretty awesome. When Bindi Irwin isn't dancing in the ballroom or working with wildlife, she tries to find time to spend with her boyfriend Chandler Powell. That's right, this teenage girl has a boyfriend. Irwin dished about Powell to Us Weekly saying that: I was blessed to meet Chandler and his family back in November 2013. We remained in touch and stayed friends. Since then, our friendship has developed into something really special ... He is passionate about wildlife and an extraordinary wakeboarder. We are excited to be achieving more conservation work together. I feel lucky to have him in my life. Powell is actually a global ambassador for Irwin’s Wildlife Warriors team.
