‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers: Adam Saves Sage & Ruins Relationships

The Young and the Restless returned Tuesday with an all-new episode as Cane (Daniel Goddard) got closer with Lily (Christel Khalil) while Sage (Kelly Sullivan) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) continued with their plot to expose Dr. Anderson (Elizabeth Bogush).

The Plan to Bring Cane Lily Closer Was a Success

Cane tells Michael (Christian Jules LeBlanc) that wants to go back to the way things were with Lily (Christel Khalil), but he still can’t get past her cheating. Michael can relate, but he made the decision to trust Lauren (Tracey E. Bergman) again.

Jill (Jess Walton) tells Michael that Billy’s (Jason Thompson) recuperating. Colin (Tristan Rogers) asks Jill when they decided to have a party for their anniversary. Lauren agrees; wants to know what’s going on. Michael informs them all that Cane’s receptive to working things out with Lily.

In Dr. Anderson’s office, she tells Sage that the latter’s grief has evolved into paranoia and illusion; the best thing for her to do is to stay away from Nick. Dr. A recommends that Sage leave town and get a fresh start. Sage plays along, acting disappointed. She agrees to take a written test for Dr. A. Dr. A leaves the office.

Nick tells Sharon that Dr. A’s helping Sage get to the mental place that she needs to be faster. Sage — while rummaging through Dr. Anderson’s office drawer — calls Nick, telling him about Dr. A’s suggestion to leave him. Nick is concerned Sage’s getting herself in to deep at Fairview. Nonetheless, he agrees to continue playing along with Dr. A.

Nick says goodbye to Sharon and Faith. He then calls Dr. A and asks her to meet him; he says he wants to talk about them. She says has to wrap things up and she’ll be on her way. Dr. Anderson tells another worker to give the test to Sage, saying she has an appointment to run out to.

Hilary places her wedding ring on top of Devon’s divorce papers; she can’t bring herself to sign them. Meanwhile, Neil (Kristoff St. John) tells Devon (Bryton James) that those papers were ” a great reality check” for her. Neil doesn’t think Devon should shut her out.

Lily says hello to Cane. Jill later tells everyone that their plan for Lily and Cane’s “moving on to phase two.”


Nicks Concerned for Sage But Follows Through For Her With Dr. Anderson

Hilary thinks back to a time when her and Devon were in love and passionately kissing.

Devon tells Cane he noticed that Cane can’t stop staring at his sister; he shouldn’t stay frozen in time forever. Hilary texts Devon that they need to talk, “it’s important.” Neil encourages him to do it. Devon is reluctent.

Colin gets distracted by his phone. This annoys Jill, who says her “husband’s head is elsewhere.” They bicker. She suggests he may doing something deceptive. Colin wants to know if she’s ever going to trust him. She says he’s given her a million reasons not to.

Devon’s confused at why he came to Hilary’s. Hilary tells Devon – who expresses he doesn’t want to hear how much she loves his father — that she wants to be with him. Devon has his doubts. Hilary says that she’s sorry she hurt him; she wants one more chance.

Neil and Michael think Colin and Jill are too much alike. They want each other to apologize. Cane says he’s never seen his father so happy. He asks Lily to go talk to him. Everyone else smiles — including Colin and Jill — when they see Cane and Lily making progress. Later, Cane tels Lily he misses her. She says she misses him too. They make love.

Later, Devon says he’s glad she found clarity, but he doesn’t think that he can do this with her again.

Sage finds a book on Dr. A’s bookcase that says, Living With Paralysis.

Nick is at a bar with Dr. A. He tells her it has been a rough time. Dr. A says he deserves better than both Sharon and Sage. She knows he always means well and that he’s a genuinely good man. She kisses him; he continues going along with it.
