Today is National Selfie Day 2017 and according to NationalSelfieDay.net, the holiday was created by DJ Rick McNeely from Fishbowl Radio Network on June 21, 2014. The concept was apparently, just an idea that grew into a holiday, a day to express one’s self creatively via selfie photos. In honor of the day, let’s kick things off with some of the best celebrity selfies of the year, starting with the above major moment. The Met Gala does not generally allow cellphone photos to be taken, but that didn’t stop all these stars from heading to the bathroom for a star-studded mirror selfie. Celebrities posing in the pic include Kylie Jenner, P Diddy, Lily Aldridge, A$AP Rocky, Kendall Jenner, Paris Jackson and Kim Kardashian. Alec Baldwin has killed it on Saturday Night Live this past season, with his ever-funny Donald Trump impersonation. SNL viewers were tuning in week after week to check out Baldwin mocking Trump and this selfie is perfect for celebrating Baldwin’s skits. Trump has voiced on several occasions, via Twitter, that he is not a fan of the show or its impressions of him.
