Call will start in left field and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Rangers. Call will enter the starting nine for just the third time all season, replacing a resting Teoscar Hernandez in the series finale. Though Call has made the most of his limited opportunities by going 4-for-9 with a pair of doubles, three walks, four runs and an RBI so far this season, he's unlikely to see an uptick in playing time so long as all of Hernandez, Andy Pages and Kyle Tucker are all available to play the outfield.

Alex Call: Breaking News
In midst of strong spring
Call went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and two additional RBI in a Cactus League loss to the Athletics on Sunday. Call's first hit was a solo shot to left field in the third inning, and he added a two-run single in the fourth. The 31-year-old has been on fire offensively this spring, slashing .500/.588/.786 with five RBI through six contests. Call is likely to open the campaign on the big-league roster as a reserve outfielder.
Settles with Dodgers
The Dodgers and Call avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $1.6 million contract Thursday, Jack Harris of the California Post reports. Call gets a pay bump in his first year of arbitration eligibility as a Super 2 qualifier. The 31-year-old hit .247/.333/.384 in 38 regular-season games for the Dodgers in 2025 after being acquired at the trade deadline. Call will open 2026 as a reserve outfielder.
