I am making a vow to improve my finances in 2017. I am putting away more money, making them more secure and bulletproof, and increasing my protection. I also plan on saving on money management fees by getting rid of my financial advisor (who doesn’t do anything anyway). The steps I am taking are:
1. I bought life insurance to protect my family. I should have done this long ago.
2. I am actually going to put money in my 401k, and my husband is increasing his contribution.
3. I am going to save money in my daily life, on coffee, groceries, eating out, clothing, car insurance, etc. For example – I just found a nice auto rate for $25/month from Insurance Panda yesterday. Good start to the year!
4. I moved a chunk of my retirement into gold. This is a good hedge on the market and it has nice returns.
5. I am investing in Vanguard ETF funds, and doing it myself. I will barely pay any investment fees from here on out.
I am setting myself up for a bountiful financial year in 2017!
