Lionel Messi and Arda Turan are both ready to return to action Sunday, bad news for out-of-form Celta Vigo. The team that defeated Barca in their last meeting have claimed just four points from their last seven matches, tumbling down to seventh in La Liga. They’ve won just once in six attempts away from home, and will be without a handful of regular starters.
Meanwhile, Barcelona go for 30 games unbeaten today. The current mark of 29 is tied for the best run all-time for the club, a mark first set by Pep Guardiola’s men in 2010-11. Now Luis Enrique can break that mark against his former club, and stay a full game ahead of Real Madrid in the table.
Lionel Messi missed Barca’s previous match getting his kidneys checked out, but Enrique has insisted the Argentine is fit to play. Also rejoining the lineup could be Sergio Busquets, who has missed the team’s previous three matches.
