After arguably Liverpool’s best League performance of the season, the Reds will take three weeks off to attend to Cup matters. First come two legs against German club Augsburg, followed by a Capital One Cup final clash with Manchester City at the end of February. It could be perfect timing for Jurgen Klopp’s men, who are at their healthiest in some time.

Daniel Sturridge is back in the starting lineup, and was a constant threat in a six-goal demolishing of Aston Villa. That should give the club a necessary offensive boost, as only Sion have scored less goals than Liverpool (6) in Europa League this season.

Augsburg may be struggling this year after last season’s stunning fifth-placed Bundesliga finish, but they still have firepower. Raul Bobadilla has six goals in Europa League by himself this season, tied with Bilbao’s Aduriz for most goals in the competition.

Today’s match will be available on Fox Sports 2 in the US at 3:05 p.m. Eastern. UK viewers can stream the match with BT Sport.
