James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett of Metallica rocked the SAP Center before Game 4 of the NHL Stanley Cup Final with a electric guitar version of the National Anthem.
The Bay Area natives hit the ice with their axes to honor America prior to the San Jose Sharks-Pittsburgh Penguins contest in Northern California.

This isn’t the first time the duo has played the Star-Spangled Banner at a major sporting event.
The two performed before Game 5 of the 2015 NBA Finals when the Golden State Warriors hosted the Cleveland Cavaliers. They have also played it for San Francisco Giants games.
