Williams (hamstring) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. Williams played through his hamstring issue in the Packers' Week 11 win over the Bears, recording six total tackles across 67 defensive snaps. This suggests that Wednesday's limited session is most likely precautionary; however, the rookie safety could be in jeopardy of missing the Week 12 matchup against the 49ers if he downgrades to no participation Thursday or Friday.
Jacobs was limited in practice Wednesday due to quadricep and calf injuries, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. Jacobs operated with a cap on his practice reps last week due to a quad issue, but it didn't stop him from avoiding a designation ahead of this past Sunday's game at Chicago. Overall, he handled 22 touches in the 20-19 win and turned them into 134 yards from scrimmage and one rushing TD. Jacobs now has another health concern to deal with, though, so his listing on injury reports Thursday and Friday should be telling for his odds to continue operating as the Packers' No. 1 RB on Sunday against the 49ers.
The Packers placed Lloyd (ankle/hamstring/appendix) on the non-football illness list Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Green Bay designated Lloyd for return from injured reserve last Wednesday, opening a 21-day window in which to get him back on the active roster for the first time since he sprained his ankle Week 2 against the Colts. Only two days later, though, he felt pain in his side and then was diagnosed with appendicitis. The Packers activated him from IR on Monday with the anticipation that they would place him on a different reserve list in the near future, which now has come to pass. This move allows the team to get the rookie third-round pick back later this season once he completes his recovery, but in the meantime Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks will continue to earn the backfield reps that don't go to starter Josh Jacobs on game days.
Alexander (knee) did not participate at practice Wednesday, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports. Alexander was forced out of Sunday's game at Chicago early with a knee injury, and now it looks like his availability for Week 12 is in jeopardy. He'll likely have to practice in some capacity Thursday or Friday to have any chance to play Sunday versus the 49ers.
The Packers reinstated Lloyd (ankle/hamstring/appendix) from injured reserve Monday. Though Lloyd will temporarily get added back on the 53-man roster, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic relays that the rookie running back will likely be returned to IR or another reserve list after he required an emergency appendectomy Friday. Lloyd had missed the Packers' final seven games before a Week 10 bye due to a high-ankle sprain, but he had his 21-day evaluation window opened last Monday. However, Lloyd was a limited participant in just two practices on account of the ankle sprain as well as a hamstring injury before he reported abdominal pain and was diagnosed with appendicitis. Assuming he's eventually placed back on a reserve list, Lloyd would have to miss at least another four games, but he would still be eligible for activation again beginning in Week 16.
Bullard recorded eight total tackles (six solo) in Sunday's 20-19 win over the Bears. Despite logging his second-lowest defensive snap share (72 percent) of the season Sunday, Bullard finished as one of Green Bay's top tacklers, trailing Xavier McKinney and Carrington Valentine, who each posted nine stops. The 2024 second-round pick from Georgia is off to a strong start through the first 10 games of his rookie campaign, having recorded 59 total tackles and one pass defended while primarily playing in the slot. He's expected to continue improving as he adapts to his new position throughout the season.
Valentine recorded nine total tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 20-19 win over the Bears. The second-year corner from Kentucky capitalized on his increased snaps with the Packers' first-team defense after Jaire Alexander exited Sunday's win due to an aggravation of his knee injury, tying Xavier McKinney as the team's leading tackler. Valentine hasn't seen much defensive work this season after being an integral part of the Packers' defense during his rookie campaign. He's posted 15 total tackles and one pass defended through Green Bay's first 10 regular-season games in 2024. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that Alexander's injury is not believed to be serious, so Valentine will likely resume his role as the Packers' top backup corner in Week 12, when the 49ers visit Green Bay.
