The Dolphins agreed to terms with Anderson on a contract Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. The 29-year-old reserve safety and special-teamer appeared in 14 regular-season games with the Packers last season, logging 15 tackles (five solo) and a pair of fumble recoveries. He should fill a similar role in Miami.
The Packers don't plan to offer a contract tender to Anderson (ankle), Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports. Anderson, who had been a pending restricted free agent, is thus slated have an opportunity to catch on elsewhere this offseason. The 29-year-old reserve safety logged 15 tackles in 14 regular-season games with Green Bay in 2025, while making most of his mark on special teams.
The Packers placed Anderson (ankle) on injured reserve Wednesday. Anderson hurt his ankle in Saturday's loss to Baltimore, and the injury is severe enough to result in placement on IR. The veteran safety worked primarily on special teams when healthy, with 20 of his 22 defensive snaps coming Week 15 against Denver. He'll finish the regular season with 15 tackles (five solo) over 14 games.
