2. She Dated an Arctic Monkey
Her musically inclined ex even put her in one of his music videos (above), “My Mistakes Were Made For You,” from his other band, The Last Shadow Puppets.
The pair split in 2011 after dating for four years, and she refrains from speaking much about her breakup in interviews:
I know how the media does that whole ‘poor her’ thing, like they did with Jennifer Aniston – not that I’m comparing myself to her, of course – but do you see what I mean?

4. She Hosted an MTV Show Where She Interviewed Celebs
It’s On with Alexa Chung was a short-lived interview series on MTV.
It debuted in 2009 after TRL went off the air and was canceled the same year. Chung moved to New York for this opportunity.
On the show, she sat down with John Mayer, Cameron Diaz, Daniel Radcliffe, Ian Somerhalder, Selena Gomez and Kim Kardashian.
The ex talk show host began her career in England, in shows called Popworld, Vanity Lair, Big Brother’s Big Mouth, 8 out of 10 Cats, Gok’s Fashion Fix and Frock Me. She also got experience co-hosting film and music specials.
She talked about the consequences of being on TV:
I’ve come to terms with the fact that if you’re on TV lots of people like you and lots of people hate you and once you’re OK with that, you apply it to everything. It’s like being at school. I didn’t expect everyone to like me and they certainly didn’t, so I don’t see why it should differ just because I got older and started being on TV.
5. She Wrote a Book
— London Fashion Week (@LondonFashionWk) September 17, 2013
A wholly unique collection of Chung’s personal writings, drawings, and photographs, It covers everything from her candid thoughts on life, love, and music to her favorite ensembles and how to decide what to wear in the morning. With Chung’s characteristic wit, charm, and refreshingly down-to-earth attitude, this full-color compendium is a must-have for anyone who loves fashion, music, and just about everything Alexa Chung.
She told The Guardian that writing a book was never “a lifetime dream.” However, she said, ” I like how I feel after I’ve written something, so it’s worth it for that.”
The book’s longest section deals with getting your heart broken. She said, “I’m not heartbroken any more, but I definitely was when I wrote it.”
