According to TMZ, it was Karrueche Tran who pulled the trigger on her relationship with Chris Brown. She not only broke up with Brown, she reportedly changed her phone number too so that Brown couldn’t call her.
2. Rihanna Reportedly Came In Between the Two
Rihanna recently told Oprah Winfrey that she and Chris Brown are still close friends and she’ll always have love for him. Surely, this would make Brown’s girlfriend uncomfortable. But, Chris’ “liking” two fan photos of Rihanna and himself on Instagram is reported to be the last straw for Tran. TMZ writes:
But Rihanna was only a small part of Karrueche’s problems with Chris. We’re told she was unhappy for a long time … as sources put it, because “Chris acts immature, like a child.” She thinks he’s ruining his life by spending more time partying than making music.
3. This Is Not the Couple’s First Break Up
In 2012, Chris Brown broke the news of his split from Tran to Hollywood Life saying:
I have decided to be single to focus on my career. I love Karrueche very much but I don’t want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna. I’d rather be single allowing us to both be happy in our lives.
