Apollo Nida is currently serving an eight-year sentence in prison after being found guilty of fraud and identity theft. He is the husband of Phaedra Parks with a prominent part on Real Housewives of Atlanta. This is Nida’s second time in prison as he was first in jail from 2003 and 2009 for car theft. Nida said that he got back into crime because he was trying to keep up with the lifestyle that his wife and the other cast members on the show had. He was also saying that he was spending thousands of dollars at strip clubs, so perhaps he had to keep up with that little hobby of his. Read on for the facts on Nida’s past with cast member Kenya Moore, his latest news with estranged wife Phaedra Parks, and the cheating scandals surrounding his wife as well as himself.

1. His Alleged Cheating Scandal With Fellow RHOA Cast Member Kenya Moore Has Been a Big Topic on the Show

In the past few years, there has been some sort of inappropriate flirtation between Kenya Moore and Apollo Nida, which has fueled a fire on the show, causing Nida’s wife Phaedra Parks to despise Kenya. Nida had told his wife that while he was in Los Angeles at the same time as Kenya Moore a couple years ago, she offered to engage in sexual activities with Nida, but he declined. Kenya has denied this. However, at reunion shows, Kenya has implied that something has happened between Nida and herself. Since then, Kenya has gone back on her comments and insists nothing inappropriate has ever gone down between the two of them. The only thing that Kenya Moore and Nida have admitted to is text messaging each other, but they said there was nothing that crossed the line in those messages.

2. Phaedra Parks Has Filed for Divorce from Apollo Nida

Phaedra Parks has not been supportive of Nida after he pled guilty to identity theft and fraud. She opted to skip his sentencing, stay at a hotel with their two young sons, and stay out of the public eye. This caused an even larger problem in the marriage as Nida felt his wife is not as loyal as he had thought.

According to a source close to Parks, Nida hasn’t stopped fighting with his estranged wife just because he’s behind bars. Parks has reportedly been ignoring Nida’s collect calls from prison and an insider has told Hollywood Life:

She said, ‘He tried to get me together by telling me what he thought about me and numbering each pathetic insult.’” So rude! Who’s the one in jail, here?! Phaedra said that Apollo called her a b*tch, selfish, fat, conceited, and a wife that ain’t loyal. He even told her that if it wasn’t for their kids, he wouldn’t care if he saw her fat ass ever again. He said it to her in a letter just like that.

Apparently, Parks didn’t even read the whole letter. According to the insider, Parks ripped it up and threw it away.

On this season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, it’s safe to say that it will be the last time we see Nida on the show. During this season, Parks is actually hit with cheating allegations. At one point, Nida is telling one of the other housewives’ husbands that his wife is seeing someone else. The biggest rumor is a little odd sounding – that Parks is dating a man named “Chocolate” from Africa.

5. T.I. Confronted Nida in a Parking Lot Because he Was Comparing Himself to the Rapper

When Nida was coming to an agreement over his fraud charges, he openly admitted to trying to make a deal by being a “snitch” just like he thought rapper T.I. did when he went away to prison. T.I. was more than displeased with Nida’s comparison and confronted him in an Atlanta parking lot. Have a look at the video.

After the confrontation, Nida posted this comment on Twitter:

For the record I never said TI nor Mick Vick cooperated for the FED’s in there plea agreement. This was all taken out of context.
