Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas have pulled off some of the most creative routines on Dancing With The Stars. Tonight is the finale, where we say goodbye to the dancing duo, whether they win or not. No matter the results, Sadie and Mark will head to New York with the other finalists to have a little DWTS on Good Morning America Wednesday morning. Read on for all the facts on on Sadie and Mark below.
1. They Each Have Significant Others
Sadie Robertson and dance partner Mark Ballas each have significant others. Sadie’s boyfriend is Blake Coward (pictured above), she met at a baseball game and the two have been together just under a year. Coward shares the same values as Sadie in saving themselves until marriage and he’s been very supportive of her being on DWTS. Ballas has a love of his own as well, a girl by the name of BC Jean, who is a singer and songwriter just like her man. She’s even co-written some songs with Ballas. When Ballas opened up about her to Latina.com, he gushed about her success:
She’s an incredible songwriter. She’s had some success in the songwriting game. She wrote “If I Were A Boy” for Beyoncé. She’s had some other great rock hits and what not. And she’s just an incredible inspiration to me as a musician and as a singer/songwriter. That’s how we met; we met on the singer/songwriter circuit. She’s very high up there and everyone knows who she is, and she really enjoyed my music at set and that’s how we got talking and then we started collaborating. We went on a few dates here and there.

2. Mark and Sadie’s Freestyle Routine for the Finals Was the Most Creative Dance Ever on DWTS
For the finals, Mark Ballas choreographed an insanely unique performance to the theme song from video game Super Mario Bros. Have a look at the record-setting performance above.
3. Duck Dynasty Really Brought the Two Together
When Sadie and Mark performed with the help of Sadie’s family as a tribute to Duck Dynasty, Mark said that was his favorite night of the season. He said the routine really brought them together, revealing in his blog:
The performance felt amazing. It was the first time that we felt like one person moving as a unit. From the second I looked at her on the stage, I knew she was ready to go. When we touched hands for the first time, I knew it would be one of those performances where I wouldn’t have to think, and I could just treat it as almost an out-of-body experience. It was also great having Jep, Jase, Willie and Si Robertson be a part of the routine. It gave a huge edge to the performance, and took it over the top. It was so much fun, and such a great tribute to Sadie’s family and Duck Dynasty.
4. Mark Has Been Sensitive of Sadie’s Needs and Religious Views
Throughout the season the costume department had to be very aware of Sadie’s wardrobe needs because of multiple factors – her age, her parents’ approval, and her religious views. Ballas has had past partners that also shared the same views, wanting more modest costumes – Candace Cameron Bure and Bristol Palin.
5. Derek Hough and Ballas Switched Partners This Season
Each season on DWTS, there’s a switch-up episode where the pros switch celebrity dance partners. This season, Mark Ballas and buddy Derek Hough switched partners Sadie Robertson and Bethany Mota. Bethany brought out her fierce side with Ballas, while Hough bonded with Sadie’s Duck Dynasty family. Ballas got a little jealous when he say Hough out shooting with Sadie. When Ballas wrote about the experience in his blog, he stated:
To be honest, when I found out that Sadie had Derek for the switch-up, it was a huge weight off my shoulders. I was relieved and I knew that I could relax because she would be safe in Derek’s arms because he is incredible and like my brother! We had a lot of fun all week during rehearsals; Derek and I were FaceTime-ing, texting, and calling to check in with each other. He was giving me tips on Bethany and I was giving him tips on Sadie, so it was really a team effort! I thought both of the girls did incredibly well. I was so thrilled with Derek and Sadie’s dance. I thought she did an incredible job, and I loved the routine! It was really cool to watch as a fan at a distance than be her partner because my POV is usually her face and being up close, but it was nice to be further back and able to watch her just kill it!
It has been a truly emotional and touching season for Mark Ballas and Sadie Robertson.
