Tonight is the 2015 – 2016 edition of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and while Dick Clark may be gone, the party continues in his name once again. During this year’s broadcast, Taylor Swift will premiere her brand new music video “Out of the Woods” and there will be many familiar faces appearing to perform. For all the details you need about the broadcast from what TV channel to watch to who the hosts are, read on below.


START TIME: 8:00 p.m. ET and 11:30 p.m. ET (short break from 11:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. ET)


END TIME: 2:15 p.m.
TV CHANNEL: ABC Network – Click here to access the ABC channel finder and locate your local station.
HOSTS: From Times Square, Jenny McCarthy and Ryan Seacrest. From Hollywood, Fergie.
TIMES SQUARE PERFORMERS: Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Demi Lovato and Wiz Khalifa (featuring Charlie Puth). And, Jimmy Buffet will give a special live performance from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
BILLBOARD HOLLYWOOD PARTY PERFORMERS: One Direction, 5SOS, Alessia Cara, Andy Grammer, Nathan Sykes, Elle King, DNCE, Ellie Goulding, Fall Out Boy, Macklemore with Ryan Lewis, OMI, Nick Jonas, Rachel Platten, Walk The Moon, Pentatonix, and Tove Lo.
LOCATION: The Ball drops from a flagpole located on top of the One Times Square building. It can be viewed on Broadway from 43rd to 50th Street and on 7th Ave from 43rd to 59th Street.
SECURITY PRECAUTIONS: Due to the rise in terror threats, 6,000 police will be positioned near Times Square this year. At the entry points, and the spectator viewing areas, every person will be searched with a hand-held wand, according to TimesSquareNYC.org. Large bags are not permitted and all bags will be searched. There will be officers in “plain clothes” scattered throughout the area. In addition, manhole covers will be sealed, certain vendors will be removed, waste receptacles will be removed, there will be radiation detectors and there will be rooftop monitors.
