During Mr. Robot’s premiere, a QR code was displayed in Elliot’s notebook. The notebook, which he labeled “Red Wheelbarrow,” was created by Confictura Industries. What was the QR Code and where does it lead? Is it part of a bigger mystery? How can you read the QR code on your phone?
Here’s what you need to know.
The QR Code, which was displayed in Elliot’s notebook, is displayed below. You don’t have to remake the QR Code in order to scan it. Certain phone QR Readers can scan the QR code as it showed up on TV. The iOS app QRReader is one of those.
And here’s a scannable version, shared on Reddit here.
If you don’t want to take the time to make the QR Code work, we’ll share where it goes with you. The QR code leads to www.ConficturaIndustries.com. This is a 1990s-looking site that says it’s still under construction. According to alert Reddit fans, Confictura Industries’ website may actually be the very first website that Elliot created. We haven’t been able to confirm that yet, but the site could be the source of a number of clues.
Pay close attention to websites and clues left during Mr. Robot episodes. Between seasons there was an ARG the led to a $95 Mr. Robot hoodie as the prize. The clues we’re seeing now could very well be part of a new ARG.
