Oscars 2017 Performers

Tonight, Jimmy Kimmel hosts the 2017 Academy Awards, with Harold Wheeler as the conductor of the orchestra at the event. La La Land is up for 14 awards tonight, and one of them is in the category of Best Song. The nominees for the category this year include "How Far I'll Go" from Moana, "Audition (The Fools Who Dream)" and "City of Stars" from La La Land, "The Empty Chair" from Jim: The James Foley Story, and "Can't Stop the Feeling!" from Trolls. In addition to performances for Best Song, there will also be a musical number for the In Memoriam segment of the night. The In Memoriam portion of the show is to remember those in the entertainment industry who have passed away over the last year. Today, it was announced that beloved actor Bill Paxton passed away too soon, at the age of 61. It is unknown if Paxton will be included in the segment with such short notice.
